McConnell’s Distillery and Visitor Centre

Designco were appointed by McConnell's to work on the staging and signage elements for their monumental new Distillery and Visitor Centre. Along with our design partners and subcontractors, we designed, manufactured and fitted all the interior and exterior signage, props, decor, artworks, artefacts, planting, antiques and visitor way-finding to the heritage centre and tour exhibition.

This was spread over many different room sets with decor, art and signage across all floors of the distillery. We even recreated a single 1890s Gaol Cell, complete with its own mini gaol cell pot still! An amazingly diverse and unique project to work on, we created bespoke artworks and sourced period pieces, including several very valuable and rare pieces of McConnell's Whisky paraphernalia and collectables.

We were delighted and proud to have been appointed on this project and we have given it our all in terms of what we designed and produced for this iconic project, which will benefit North Belfast and Northern Ireland for many years to come.
